I saw this photo taken from the streets of Dresden and thought of one of my favorite Vonnegut novels, Slaughterhouse Five. Thank God for laughter. The truth is, if we weren’t able to laugh at things sometimes, we’d cry our eyes out.
The New American Dream →
On a road trip last, my friend Tessa and I were talking about this article I had read at A Continuous Lean. Our simplified (and flippant) conclusion was that the of the fall of the American middle class could all be blamed on the Kardashians—beautiful people with no real talent and the worship of them by others. But seriously, I agree with a lot of what this article is saying and think...

Frost River Softgoods
Made in Duluth, Minnesota, these tin cloth packs are certainly on the future Christmas lists.
Mrs. Clean
Mrs. Meyers and Caldrea are two branches of the same wonderful Minneapolis-based company. This is an awesome company that I support 100% (the owners are really wonderful people who happen to be BFF with Gustaf’s aunt and uncle). We use Mrs.Meyers and Caldrea all over our house and I love that they use no harsh chemicals in their products. My favorites...
Copper Topper
Yet another shout out to my amazingly creative mom! A few years ago she bought this table at a garage sale. Genius.

Gustaf just got a Ford F150. Though I don’t understand why, it’s funny to see him so excited about a truck. I do have to admit, it’s pretty fun to drive.

Gustaf (aka the husby) and I are seriously thinking about adding a duck or two to our family. Yes, I said seriously. This idea is still in the research phase. More to come later.
Le Creuset = Le Love
As I mentioned earlier, I love my Le Creuset pot! It is honestly, the most used and appreciated tool in my kitchen.
MacGyver Lime and Paprika Chicken
I’ve had a crazy couple weeks with school so I haven’t been the one who has been going to the grocery. I thought it was really sweet when I came home late Sunday night to find that someone else had gone to the grocery and there was a whole chicken in the fridge. The husby loves my roasted chicken and bought one for me to make on the only night we would both be home to have dinner...
